No In person worship for the next few weeks!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday we received an update from Bishop Sue regarding the increase in cases of COVID-19 in the state of Georgia.  She has requested that churches cease in person worship in communities where cases of the virus are growing.  With the help of our lay leadership we have decided to abide by the Bishop’s request and suspend in person worship for the next few weeks.  As far as we know we have had no cases of the virus within our church community or in connection with our worship service. But Butts County has had roughly 60 new cases of COVID in the last ten days which is the most we have had since early May.  We knew many of the early cases were nursing home or prison related, but these new cases seem to be coming from within our general population.. A healthy range for our community is somewhere under 10 new cases a week.  When our virus cases return to this level we will consider opening in person worship again.  For now we invite you to worship from home, keep giving and making a difference for the Kingdom. We encourage you to stay at home as much as possible, social distance and wear a mask when in public.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Chris
